Galloping Toward The Best Results.
The Universal Stabling team knows a lot about the needs of quality temporary stabling.
Our History
The concept for the stall was born from showing horses and realizing that many of the options for portable stalls were substandard to say the least. With there being a demand for a rental company in the area, the first generation of our stall was born, plagued with flaws and injuring some horses this design was short lived and demanded immediate resolution, making safety for the horse of the upmost concern.
American Stall, (Rentals) was born. The second-generation of our stall gave rise to our unique coupling system and was now full divider to limit the horses view, the stall design proved to be much safer for the horses. Made with hot dipped galvanized steel frames and covered with HDPE for the finish on the panels and doors. This proved affective yet was not the answer as they were extremely heavy and had to be stored standing upright, which made storage and transport more challenging. The HDPE can still fail making for sharp edges which poses a risk, along with warping over time. Galvanized frames make the stalls harder and more expensive to repair or replace, but the frames wont rust. Some of these stalls are still in use today and are 25+ years old and in great shape under single facility use. Even though these stalls are good, they are not great and for a growing rental company they needed to be easy to handle and this was not it.
The American Stall the third-generation of our stall, which had a much-improved coupling system and was now vinyl sided without a filler. Greatly reducing weight, improving usability, reducing potential for any injury to the horse by softening kicks both physically and audibly, giving no potential for them to eat foam. The frames are constructed of carbon steel then powder coated black. Reducing build cost and greatly improving ease of repair. We produced roughly 600 of them and used this design for 20 years without issue or kick through with minimal maintenance or repair required, cutting job times in half with this system. Some of the frames could use replacement bottom bars after two decades of rental usage (road salt exposure) and are still covered with their original canvas, finally we had a stall that delivered and could withstand the punishment of time under heavy usage and could still be repaired at a reasonable cost if needed. After 25+ years of research, testing, transporting, and handling we began to understand we had created a portable stall that broke the negative stigma often associated with portable stalls (especially a vinyl sided one) and had a long trail of positive feedback behind it.
The Universal Stall new fourth-generation stall. This stall was designed with any situation in mind, adding the refining touches to our third-generation stall. Made with a sealed frame construction with six sided welds on the corners, 2.5" wider than the previous stall, reinforced latch and locks, reinforced canvas boarder giving the ability to remove the top canvas on the panels, allowing them to be used as an open top for view, light or airflow. The mesh in the panels also adds additional locations for garment hangers, buckets, or grid wall for vendor booth, making it an industry first to have the option to be used as a full divider panel or open top. Adding usable features and strength.
After years of refining our proprietary stall system we have shifted from rental to sales, deciding that we can be more beneficial to the industry by opening the door, allowing greater access to our stall system.
